Blanketed Bliss Yoga

Did you know that the weight of a heavy blanket can help lower anxiety? Stay cozy and enjoy a gentle yoga practice with the comfort of your own blankets, or bed!

This is the warm and cozy yoga class you've been waiting for.  Here is what you'll need:

  • You can practice in your bed under your blankets. You already have everything you need in that space.

  • If you prefer not to practice in bed, you could practice on your yoga mat or floor with blankets and props (pillows, bolsters, extra blankets).

  • You may wish to use a soft washcloth or eye pillow over your eyes.

  • Set the space by dimming the lights and playing some relaxing music. 

  • Wear comfortable clothes and make sure the room temperature is comfortable.

Here is what to expect:

  • Arrive online to class and check in by briefly turning on your camera so we can meet you. You are welcome to leave the camera on, or if you're more comfortable, you can turn it off after checking in. 

  • Once class begins, you will be guided through a handful of gentle poses under your blanket--some brief stretches, others held longer and more restoratively (5-10 min). Each session will include guided meditation.

  • Don't worry about falling asleep. We'll automatically close the Zoom session for all participants when class is over, leaving you to enjoy a peaceful sleep.
